Booking

The first step is to inquire about doing a session together! Even if you don't have an idea and you just want to shoot together. Inquire! You don't need a solid concrete concept idea to inquire and you don't need to be a model or anything like that at all.  After I get a general idea of what you're looking for or the type of shoot you enjoy, I can pitch 3-5 concepts for you to choose from. Once we have chosen a concept and chosen a date and time, you'll officially book the session. To officially book a session, I require a signed contract and a 25% nonrefundable deposit.  For the remaining payment, it is typically due 1-2 weeks before the session date. However, if this is not manageable, we can always discuss payment plans. If you are interested in a payment plan, please let me know upfront so that I can include all the information in the contract and invoicing system.

Prep

The next step is the planning process. During this time we'll be chatting about styling and props. I'll send you ideas about clothing, makeup, and hair and can help you find an HMUA if needed as well. I also send out links for clothes you can purchase if needed, or even send out a whole curated style guide for the specific session. In the meantime, I'll be planning out the logistics of the set, perhaps be location scouting or booking a studio and running some ideas by you if needed. If you opt for doing your own makeup, I send a step-by-step makeup application guide to help you look photoshoot ready. Make up really helps complete the whole look and if you struggle, I do not mind stepping in sometimes and helping with some minor details. Just ask me! During the whole planning process, I will reach out to you periodically to touch base before re-confirming that we are all good to go once the shoot date is near.

Session Date

Now it's the best day, photoshoot day! Depending on what we discussed, you might arrive early for hair and makeup. During the session, we'll listen to a playlist of your choice. Meanwhile, I typically film behind the scenes and videos for content which I am more than happy to share with you once we finish shooting. During the whole session I will be guiding and posing you, making minor adjustments with your hair, face, etc. I will also be your personal hypeman! Being comfortable on the set is what makes the world a difference in a shoot. We'll get those first shoot jitters out of the way real fast and become fast friends by the end of the session. My goal is to make you laugh and to have fun!

After

After the session, I will edit the pictures on my own time. During busy months it can take 1-2 months, which I will be up front about. On average it can take 2-4 weeks for editing to delivery. This is due to the culling process, then editing each individual photo in photoshop for skin retouch on top of the general touch up and colorgrading process. Once the album is ready to be delivered, I will send them to you via Pic-Time. This is an online gallery where you'll be able to easily download all the images in high-resolution and you can use the attached shop to order high-quality prints from the print lab.
